Summary
Plaintiffs allege that their former employer, the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, violated the ADA and Rehabilitation Act (1971). Tina Bruce, who is blind, was fired from her job for supposed incompetence. She appealed the decision and was reinstated with a provision for her to be provided up-to-date assistive technology. After being reinstated, she supposedly still had to use the same outdated technology. The other plaintiffs expressed worry about Bruces working conditions and cite that as why their employment was terminated. The plaintiffs are asking for damages and relief for the supposed violations.
