Mary Brown v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, et al.
The earlier trial was declared as a mistrial by the presiding judge, Harvey Jay.
In this case, plaintiff Hildegard Brown alleged R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company of committing tort by concealing the dangers of smoking cigarettes manufactured by the company, which led Rayfield brown to get addicted to smoking and resulted in his death due to Lung Cancer.
The plaintiff was represented by attorneys Robert Loehr and Matthew Schultz. The defendants in this case, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and others were represented by attorneys W. Ray Persons, Ursula Henninger and Frank Bayuk.
