Doug Cannon, who was severely burned when a tow truck smashed into the rear of his stalled Mustang, sued both the tow truck company and Ford Motor Company.
Before jurors began deliberating, some parties settled out for $31.25 million.
The jury found that the plaintiff was only 1% negligent, and awarded damages of $12 million.
