Summary
In this oral argument before the Delaware Supreme Court, the attorney representing defendant Elmer Dobson sought to have his client's convictions at bar reversed and all charges dismissed. Mr. Dobson was originally charged by indictment by the Grand Jury in the Superior Court of the State of Delaware in and for Sussex County on February 6, 2012, with seven counts consisting of six counts of rape in the second degree, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Trial occurred from September 10, 2012 through March 12, 2012. After the trial defendant was found guilty of all seven counts.
Outcome
The judgment of the Superior Court was reversed and the matter was remanded for a new trial.
