Summary

Hunter Fellers was a resident of Just People, Inc.'s facility for adults with intellectual disabilities. He was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, and intellectual disability, and occasionally suffered from seizures. On June 26, 2012 Hunter drowned in the facility's swimming pool during a monthly pool party with over 45 intellectually disabled swimmers present.

Plaintiff asserts that the pool party should have been supervised by the facility, and that Hunter's death was caused by his submersion in the pool for more than 6 minutes. Defense claims that Hunter's death is a result of overmedication, which caused a sudden cardiac arrhythmia.
