Summary

Plaintiff Salima Hassanali was working as a resident physician at Valley Hospital Medical Center, when in 2008 she was struck by a fiberglass cover for a pickup truck's flat bed that was blown by wind in the hospital's parking lot. Hassanali claimed the cover was defectively designed and that she suffered neck and spine injuries as a result of the accident. She sued SnugTop brand tonneau cover's manufacturer and installer in 2010 for past and future damages.
