Trial
03/05/12 – 04/18/12

Summary

In this Pharmaceutical product liability litigation proceeding, Plaintiff Jo Ann Sessner and other plaintiffs alleged Merck and Company of being liable for badly designing the osteoporosis drug ‘Fosamax’ and failing to warn her and her doctor about possible side effects of the drug which included bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ). The plaintiff’s counsels claimed that the plaintiff took Fosamax from 2002 to 2008 to treat osteoporosis, which caused plaintiff Jo Ann Sessner to develop stage 3 bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ).

Plaintiff Jo Ann Sessner was represented by attorneys Timothy O’Brien, Gary Douglas, Steve Marshall and Ned McWilliams. The defendant in this case, Merck and Company Inc was represented by attorneys Christy Jones and Paul Strain.
