Summary

In this 2 month Jury trial in a lawsuit which involved approximately 750 tobacco liability claims, plaintiffs ‘West Virginia Tobacco Plaintiffs’ alleged RJ Reynolds, Lorillard Tobacco Co and Philip Morris Tobacco Co of fraudulent concealment of dangers of smoking cigarettes manufactured by the companies and of being liable of manufacturing defective cigarettes. The case is, however, not technically a class action proceeding.
The plaintiffs were represented by attorney McClain Kenneth. The defense in this case comprised of RJ Reynolds, Lorillard Tobacco Co and Philip Morris Tobacco Co. RJ Reynolds was represented by attorney Jeffrey Furr, Lorillard Tobacco Co was represented by attorney Michael Minton and Philip Morris Tobacco Co was represented by attorney Frank Kelly.
