CVN previously covered a hearing on insurer's motion to intervene in this litigation related to Hurricane Katrina damage liability litigation in Louisiana.

Although the insurer moved to intervene, rather than filing a complaint in intervention, the court would allow intervention to vindicate their right of public access.

The court would not, however, allow as a grounds of intervention a desire to challenge a decision to seal an affidavit in its entirety, rather than to create a redacted version, or otherwise attempt to obtain discovery in the related action.
