Summary
In this Engle progeny tobacco litigation proceeding, plaintiff Ellen Tate alleged Philip Morris Tobacco Co of fraudulent concealment of dangers of smoking cigarettes manufactured by the company, which led the plaintiff to get addicted to smoking at an early age. The plaintiff also alleged the company of being liable of manufacturing defective cigarettes, which caused the plaintiff emphysema (COPD) and severely impaired her lung capacity. The plaintiff had smoked Philip Morris cigarettes for 37 years.
